What our costs are

In the finest spirit of public-private cooperation, the Lower Paxton Dog Park is being funded through private donations and public state grants. No direct local taxpayer funds will be required.

The LP Township Supervisors are donating an unused portion of park land and have agreed to maintain it as they would a ball field.

On the private side, the Dog Park Association of Lower Paxton will raise private funds, seek state grants and solicit fencing and lumber donations. The Pennsylvania Conservation Corps has agreed to provide the labor to erect the fence and build any needed structures at no cost.

We estimate the park start-up costs to be $17,000 - $20,000 with ongoing costs being $2,000 - $3,000 per year.

This is public-private cooperation at its best. But we need your help. Please donate or volunteer to help the dog park through total community participation.
